Summerfest 2007

We spent the weekend in my (Elise's) hometown visiting my parents and enjoying my hometown's summer festival, appropriately called Summerfest. I hadn't been to it in many years, and it was so fun to just walk out the front door, walk a couple blocks, and see rides, carnival games, food vendors, etc.

Alaina enjoyed playing with Grandpa Hal and Grandma Becky, meeting some of their friends, looking at the carnival, a parade (she loved the marching band but hated the horns and sirens), and fireworks! (For those interested, Elvis Presley, Jr., was in the parade. But that's another subject for another day...)

With Daddy:
Just lounging at Grandma and Grandpa's and enjoying the extra attention:

With Mommy:
For some reason Grandpa is always trying to teach her how to use the TV remote control -- as if it isn't already fascinating enough to her!

We didn't get any good photos of my mom with Alaina, but here's one from a few weeks ago when they visited for Memorial Day:

Now after having all these fun people to be with for the past week, what are Alaina and I going to do by ourselves all week? Thankfully, we do have a few things planned, but I'm sure it'll be a quieter week.
