Alaina took a writing class at the Thurber House in June. This was her writing group with all the other campers at a presentation on the last day.

Each child got to read at least one thing they wrote that week. Here Alaina is sharing a story she wrote about how white horses came to be.

They had to describe themselves, and Alaina wrote that she is a fancy, fashion loving beautiful person.

On her grandparents' porch in Maine. (I really didn't make the girls wear these dresses every day of our trip. We just got a lot of photos on the 1-2 days they wore them.)

On the porch swing, one of our favorite places to sit and read a book.

They had fun playing on a playground that was right on the beach. You can see the ocean in the background.

Todd walking with the girls to the candy store.

They each got to pick a few treats. One of Alaina's choices was a little gummy pizza.

Kissing Poppy.

We had so much fun building sand castles. I may have taken it a little too seriously this year.

On the way home, we stopped at the National Museum of Play in Rochester, NY. There were so many exhibits that were of interest to the girls (and me!). I would've loved to have had more time to linger. This was a Sesame Street themed area.

Alaina opened a food cart just outside Hooper's Market.

They got to try out Big Bird's nest.

The Berenstain Bears area was so well done. This is just the entrance. Emi wanted to hug them all.
