Alaina danced in the rain last night. I stepped onto the porch with Emi and it began to rain. No thunder or lightning, just a nice refreshing rain. So I called to Alaina and asked if she'd like to dance in the rain. "Really?!" she asked. "Yes!" It's so nice as a parent to say yes sometimes. She grabbed her umbrella but ran out in bare feet. Sure, she got wet, but it was nearly time to change into her pajamas anyway, and now she will have a fun memory of being carefree instead of someone saying, "No, you'll get too wet, or too dirty, or too cold."
Also, we had a special day last Saturday called market day where tons of vendors set up selling all different crafts, foods, and other products. Alaina immediately found two balloons and then got her face painted. A photographer was taking pictures of the kids after they got their faces painted. Here is Alaina's. She looks so lovely, messy hair and all!
