First Ballet Class and First Hockey Game

Alaina's taking ballet class right now -- just a 6-week session. She's halfway through and has already declared that she's ready to move on to tap dance. These pictures were from her first class. She had a wonderful time, but was more interested in just having fun and being a free spirit than in following directions, so subsequently we have had a lot of ballet practice sessions at home, which has improved things greatly (but seems to have reduced her enjoyment level).

We also went to a Miami University hockey game when they played Ohio State (Miami, by the way, will be playing in the Frozen Four later this week!). Alaina had fun but I think she enjoyed the cotton candy more than the game:

Just hanging around...

Over the past few months Alaina has started to draw more recognizable things, especially people. It's been fun to see her draw pictures of our family and other people and characters she likes.
