Oh how some of the days dragged by, but the year as a whole flew! Alaina is now a year old. She had lots of fun celebrating her birthday with family who drove all the way from Ohio. I will have more photos when I get some of theirs. I didn't get the chance to take very many. Alaina was very cautious with the cake at first, thoroughly examining it, but she eventually dug in. 
She even shared some cake with Daddy (we'll see how long he lets me keep this photo up!):
We also had a little party earlier in the week with our small group from church for Alaina and her friend Andrew, who was born just 2 days earlier:
